BLACKHAWS vs METEORS

Despite the impeding snow and high winds on Saturday night, the Fort Erie Rosehill Auction Meteors just could not use their own speed and fire to stop the Thorold Blackhawks from taking the game. Home team crowds at the Leisureplex in Fort Erie on Saturday evening were mimimal, most likely due to severe weather warnings for most of the Niagara region. However, in true fashion, and perhaps in light of the groundhog predicting spring right around the corner, the visiting Blackhawks closed the game with a 5-1 lead over the Meteors.
